You can get to the mountain refuge (rifugio) Alpe Madre by car: from Romano d’Ezzelino take the main road Cadorna to Cima Grappa; when you get to Campo Solagna 1020 m (there are signposts to the rifugio) turn left towards S. Giovanni ai Colli Alti;when you get to the hotel (with the same name) carry on for about 1 km until you see the signs to the rifugio on the edge of an unsurfaced road on your left.
On foot: you can walk from S. Nazario (140 m) on the main road "Valsugana" (railway station) along the footpath n. 38, which follows the old muletrack "Sannazara"(it takes about 3 hours -it’s an ascent of 1100 m); or from Campo Solagna (1020 m) along the footpath n. 40, it takes about 1 hour.
